In February, I was honored to be invited to Janus et Cie’s San Francisco Design Center Design Week Dinner. It was an intimate event with the owner of Janus et Cie, Janice Feldman, and a few select interior designers.

When we arrived, we weren’t only greeted by the amazing interior elements of the Janus et Cie outdoor furnishings line, we were welcomed by wonderful food and incredible tablescapes and arrangements using pieces from the Janus et Cie accessories line. My favorite piece, outside of the darling picnic dishes had to be the white Madera vases, embellished with a textural faux bois pattern that recalls the bark of a venerable tree–fabulous–especially when paired with purple flowers!

While our menu was robust, the best part came when truffle popcorn was delivered in these darling little popcorn boxes! Our rep, Natalie, was so gracious to put me on the invite list, not to mention, sit by me at dinner so we could catch up on all the latest design trends.

And dessert certainly did not disappoint. I don’t know what was better, the perfect coffee in Janus et Cie’s cups or the presentation that was put on–what a visually stimulating dessert bar!

And my visit wouldn’t have been complete without celebrating with Janice herself. She told stories of her late mother playing Ma Jong with her dear friends after hours in the showroom with her own special table and drum light fixture above. She also enjoyed dinner and dessert with us while introducing us to her family. Lastly, she signed her book to me–I love the message! While signing she said, “I’m not interested in slowing down. There are too many opportunities, and what I’ve learned over all of the years I’ve been in business is that people love our brand. They know that it stands for something really good, so we want to get it out to more of them.” Cheers to you!
